All About the Blue - Kitchen Renovation

This lovingly maintained100-year-old Maplewood gem had everything it needed, except a bold new kitchen renovation. Inspired by the kitchen’s original eight-inch oak baseboards and window trim, the mission throughout the project was to preserve the home’s historic charm while modernizing it for today’s family needs. 
 
The finish palette included both a nod to the past while keeping a practical mindset: Federal blue cabinets are stately and bold, durable quartz countertops gleam like soapstone, porcelain tile for the flooring was selected to look like travertine, and oil-rubbed bronze hardware pulls were sourced to match those in the original built-in pantry.
